Crown Heights could give the U.S. Government a run for its money when it comes to surveillance. A recent Sunday saw not one but two criminal incidents caught on camera in the Brooklyn neighborhood. In the first incident, an Orthodox Jewish woman had her iPhone snatched by a pair of muggers. In the video the woman can be seen chasing after the men, and at one point looking to a seemingly indifferent bystander for assistance.
In another incident, a Jewish family had a rock thrown at them by a young boy. The father was struck in the head and the boy fled with the help of some cohorts. Police are investigating the incident as a hate crime, local blog Crownheights.info reports.
