Musician Leonard Cohen Reschedules Tour Dates for High Holidays

Legendary musician Leonard Cohen had to reschedule two shows on an upcoming tour because they fell on Jewish holidays, the BBC reported Tuesday.
The 78-year-old singer-songwriter apologized to fans for moving performances in Leeds and London in September.
The dates clashed with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year which starts September 4th and goes until the 6th, and Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar which falls on Friday the 13th and ends the following evening.
The Canadian musician pushed both shows to the day following the conclusion of each respective holiday. He will now perform at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on September 7th, and at the 02 Arena in London on September 15th.
A statement issued on behalf of Cohen and his promoter AEG apologized “deeply for the inconvenience.”
