While comedian Jon Stewart (né Jon Stewart Leibowitz) spent this summer on a lengthy hiatus from his “The Daily Show,” his production crew were busy preparing for his triumphant return next Tuesday.
In anticipation of the big day, a compilation of Stewart’s best Jewish moments, aptly titled “A Salute to Jewish People,” with the subheading “The Daily Show tapes before sundown, and therefore breaks no Passover laws,” aired this past week.
The montage features clips from interviews with Jewish comedian Sascha Baron Cohen’s alter-ego Borat, as well as other moments where Stewart’s Jewishness made for good comedic fodder or interludes.
