U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham told CNN News on Sunday that he has “never been more worried” about President Barack Obama’s Middle East policy than now, with Iran close to walking away from negotiations with Western powers with its nuclear program intact.
“Thank God for France and thank God for pushback,” he said, praising the French for being the only P5+1 member nation to oppose the deal under discussion. “The French are becoming very good leaders in the MidEast,” he said.
The Republican from South Carolina is on the Senate’s Armed Services Committee.
