The much anticipated film “Noah,” about the eponymous biblical character, has yet to hit theaters, but eager fans were given a glimpse of the final product Thursday with the release of a trailer.
Though sporting an all-star cast — with “Black Swan” director Darren Aronofsky directing the film, Russell Crowe as the title character, and Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson and Ray Winstone in supporting roles — the film proved very controversial in early screen testings.
The Hollywood Reporter said earlier this year that screenings for key groups that might take a strong interest in the subject matter such as religious Jews and Christians, had “generated troubling reactions.”
