U.S. Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman tried Thursday to convince lawmakers to wait, while Israeli Economics and Trade Minister Naftali Bennett lobbied for additional sanctions, but both sides attempted to talk down the apparent crisis of faith between the US and Israel.
