Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper prayed at the Western, or “Wailing,” Wall, in Jerusalem on Tuesday, after speaking to a standing ovation in the Knesset on Monday.
Israel’s Canadian Embassy posted a photo of Harper on its Twitter page.
Earlier on Tuesday, Harper signed a Canada-Israel Strategic Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at bolstering ties between the two countries.
“Did you know? In 2012, bilateral merchandise trade between Canada & Israel was $1.41 billion,” Harper tweeted shortly afterwards.
