A group of anti-Israel activists promoting BDS, the boycott, divestment and sanctioning of Israel, who are trying to pressure the Rolling Stones into cancelling their first-ever concert in Israel, entrapped itself in a spiral of online hate speech when confronted by opposition, the Israellycool blog reported on Thursday.

“I think this might be the beginning of a new Israellycool series,” the blog post began. “Today’s ‘anti-Zionist not anti-Semite’ is the Facebook group Rolling Stones: Boycott Israel.”

“The group’s byline is ‘Calling on the Rolling Stones to Boycott Israel due to the state’s crimes against humanity.’ But we all know who they really have in mind,” Israellycool said.

The post featured an interaction on the BDS group’s Facebook page, announced on Wednesday to oppose the Rolling Stones concert in Tel Aviv, in June, but their Facebook presence as still relatively unpopular with only 145 likes, as of Thursday morning.

The comment thread, since removed by the group, showed a conversation with a Jewish poster named Stephen Ackerman, who wrote to say, “I suggest a flotilla to Save the Syrians. But you don’t really care about true victims,” to which he later added, “130,000 dead Syrians and you don’t care,” then taunting them with, but “If Assad were a Jew, you would care.”

The group responded, “Assad is owned by the Jews and we do care. Two genocides don’t make a right,” to which Ackerman responded, “Really? Owned by the Jews? Are you sure you don’t mean Israel?“

Once the post was removed, Ackerman who had saved an image of the online debate, uploaded it elsewhere, and continued: “I have been blocked from the page *Rolling Stones: Boycott Israel.* It seems that if you disrupt their narrative they don’t let you play in their sand box. Anticipating this, I took a screen cap of my post and subsequent dialogue with one of their apparatchiks.”

Another post from their Facebook page featured by Israellycool predicts Israel’s imminent demise.

“And the antisemitism is not the only manifestation of how they’ve let down their guard,” the blogger said.

“This page has been under attack by unskilled Mossad-paid script-kiddies,” the group’s Facebook post read. “They’ve been neutralized. Now it is time to bring the Zionist regime to it’s knees, be it by stones or with a swift kick to the wallet. don’t bother, Rolling Stones. Israel will probably not exist come June.”
