First Jewish ‘Bachelorette’ Revealed: Assistant District Attorney Andi Dorfman
by Shiryn Ghermezian
Jewish Atlanta, Ga., native Andi Dorfman will search for true love on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, host Chris Harrison announced Monday night on the After the Final Rose special.
“I’m looking to find that great love. I have a great life. I just don’t have anyone to spend it with,” the 26-year-old told Harrison on After the Rose, according to People. “I love my job but at the end of the day my job is not my priority. I’m ready to find my husband.”
The assistant district attorney, who will be the first ever Jewish Bachelorette, left last season’s The Bachelor on her own accord after her fantasy suite date with Juan Pablo Galavis. She later called him out for being selfish and only talking about himself while on dates.
Although she wasn’t successful with Galavis on the reality series, Dorfman said she believes in the show.
“I felt real feelings … I think it can happen anywhere – especially on a show like this. I mean why not? Why not?” she said.
On The Bachelorette she will aim to chose a husband out of 25 suitors. On Tuesday she tweeted, “Am I dreaming?!? Insanely grateful, happy and most of all ready to find love!!! #cloudnine.”
