Israel Hayom – The Finance Ministry is considering establishing Israel’s first Arab university, in the northern town of Sakhnin.
Finance Minister Yair Lapid and Science and Technology Minister Yaakov Peri visited Sakhnin last week and held meetings with 30 heads of Arab local authorities about moving ahead with plans to facilitate the further integration of Israeli Arabs into the job market, as well as building the requisite social and educational infrastructure. Finance Ministry Budget Wing head Amir Levy also participated in the talks.
