JNS.org – An ancient chisel that may have used been in the construction of the Western Wall has been discovered during an archaeological dig at the site.
Eli Shukron, the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) archaeologist in charge of the dig who reached the conclusion that the chisel was used to build the Western Wall, called it a “very important piece of history.”
The IAA itself said it would not comment on the find until after tests on the chisel were completed.
