Famed Rocker Alice Cooper Surprises Diners at Kutsher’s
by Shiryn Ghermezian
Diners at New York’s Kutsher’s Tribeca were shocked to see rockstar Alice Cooper stop by for chicken liver during the Passover holiday last week, the New York Post’s Page Six reported on Saturday.
The rocker, who was famously accused in 1969 of killing a chicken onstage and slurping its blood, was joined at the Jewish-style eatery with his long time manager Shep Gordon.
“It was so great to see people’s faces on Passover when Alice walked in,” said Gordon, the subject of Mike Myers’ Tribeca Film Festival documentary Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon.
Cooper’s appreciation for the traditional dish prompted him to hire Kutsher’s to cater a Saturday party celebrating Myers’ directorial effort, which is already receiving early Oscar buzz, according to the Post. Cooper is also celebrating a documentary about his own life that is premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival, Super Duper Alice Cooper.
