Netanyahu Blames ‘Unceasing Incitement’ for Record Level of Anti-Semitism Among Palestinians

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday cited the Palestinian Authority’s “unceasing incitement” against the Jewish State and the Jewish People as the reason its people display the highest level of anti-Semitism among adults in the world.
Last week, Jewish human rights group the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) issued an extensive report on anti-Semitism around the world. According to the study, 93 percent of adults in Palestinian Authority controlled areas hold anti-Semitic views. The statistic amounts to 1.9 million individuals out of the 2,030,259 adult population.
“This is the result of the Palestinian Authority’s unceasing incitement, which distorts the image of the State of Israel and the Jewish People, as we have known in other places in our past,” Netanyahu told ministers at his government’s weekly Cabinet meeting. “This finds expression in the fact that they hold parades to commemorate what they call the Nakba. They define the existence and establishment of the State of Israel as a disaster that must be corrected.”
“Whoever sees the establishment of the State of Israel and its continued existence as a disaster does not want peace,” Netanyahu added.
The ADL report showed that in PA areas 78 percent responded “probably true” when asked if they believe Jews to be responsible for most of the world’s wars, while 87 percent responded the same when asked if they think that people hate Jews “because of the way they behave.”
