Despite hundreds of rocket attacks on Israeli cities by Gaza based terror group Hamas, Israel has continued to provide supplies and fuel to the Strip.
The IDF’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) announced that trucks were delivered through the Kerem Shalom Crossing on Wednesday. Ninety-four truckloads containing a variety of goods and 106 tons of gas were delivered.
Some 200 trucks of foodstuffs and other basics goods and products have traveled through the Kerem Shalom crossing since the start of Israel’s ongoing Operation Protective Edge aimed at halting the rockets. Materials that may be used by Hamas to build terror infrastructure, such as steel and cement, were not allowed entry into Gaza.
The trucks were heavily guarded as is the Kerem Shalom Crossing, which is a high profile target for Hamas attacks. Only a few days ago the IDF destroyed a terror tunnel that was discovered in the vicinity of the crossing.
