Financier Nat Rothschild Says He Doesn’t Celebrate Christmas Because of Jewish Roots
by Shiryn Ghermezian
British-born financier Nat Rothschild said his family does not celebrate Christmas because they are of “Jewish origin,” the London Evening Standard reported on Friday.
Nat comes from a long line of Jewish bankers. His father, Jacob Rothschild, is the chairman of the Rothschild Foundation and Yad Hanadiv, the Rothschild family foundation operating in Israel that funded the building of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. The organization is currently involved in the renewal of Jerusalem’s National Library of Israel.
Nat’s mother, Serena Mary Dunn, a Canadian, is not Jewish.
