JNS.org– Ecuadorian woman Karen Mosquera, 22, became the second victim to die from last week’s vehicular attack on the Jerusalem light rail when she succumbed to her wounds on Sunday at Hadassah Medical Center.
Mosquera arrived in Israel a year and a half ago and was in the process of converting to Judaism.
“She was wounded while on her way to a Torah lesson,” one of Mosquera’s friends said, Yedioth Ahronoth reported. “She was a quiet girl who believed in her path, fought to become a Jew and nothing bothered her.”
The attack on the Ammunition Hill light rail station also killed 3-month-old infant Chaya Zissel Braun.
