Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Slams Tel Aviv Decision to Suspend Field Trips to City

Times of Israel – Jerusalem’s deputy mayor reacted harshly to the Tel Aviv Municipality’s decision to cancel field trips to Jerusalem out of security concerns, calling it “outrageous.”

“Tel Aviv Municipality, you’ve angered me!” Rachel Azaria wrote on her Facebook page Saturday night. “Your decision to cancel the students’ trips to Jerusalem is outrageous. Tomorrow morning, like every morning, hundreds of thousands of children in Jerusalem will go to kindergarten, and to school, as usual. And if we and our kids can maintain our routine, then your kids can also continue their trips to Jerusalem as usual.”
