JNS.org – The Israeli government allowed Gaza fishermen to export their catch to Palestinians in the West Bank for the first time in seven years.
Israel eased the export restrictions it imposed on Gaza since Hamas was elected to the government of the area in 2007 by allowing a shipment of more than 730 kilograms.
This easing was adopted despite this summer’s war with the terror group, the ongoing clashes with Palestinians in the Temple Mount, and several Palestinian knife and vehicle terror attacks that have resulted in the deaths of Israeli civilians in recent weeks.
Last Thursday, Israel also allowed the export of 6 tons of cucumbers from Gaza, reported i24news.
