Jay Leno Recounts Israel Experience – Says He Was Offered Dates Instead of Coke (VIDEO)

Famed comedian Jay Leno recounted anecdotes on Friday from his recent trip to Israel in a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Leno, appearing as a guest on the show he once hosted, told Fallon that he was offered dates when he asked for a drink backstage before appearing at the first annual Genesis Prize ceremony in May.
Leno, who hosted the event, presented the award to former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
“They speak English, obviously, but it’s different,” Leno told Fallon. When he asked for a Coke with ice, Leno said, his host replied, “Coke? With ice? No, we don’t have any Cokes with ice. You like dates? You like dates?”
“Dates really? Are dates really the same in Israel as Coke with ice?” Leno asked.
Leno also said that when he asked whether he should walk out onto the stage after he was introduced, an organizer yelled, “No you don’t walk out! You walk in.”
