JNS.org – Israeli Knesset Security Chief Yosef Griff on Wednesday revoked the entry permit to the Knesset for Khaled Bashir, an aide to Arab MK Masud Ganaim (Ra’am-Ta’al), who was overheard by a Knesset security guard as saying “we’ll slaughter 50 Jews” at next Sunday’s soccer game between Beitar Jerusalem and Bnei Sakhnin.
The security guard quickly reported Bashir’s comments to the police and to Griff, who summoned the two for a hearing and consulted with Knesset legal adviser Eyal Yanon. Bashir’s entrance permit to the Knesset was then revoked.
After an inquiry into Bashir’s statement is completed, it will be decided whether to reinstate his entrance permit or revoke it permanently.
Ganaim said, “I strongly condemn these comments, but [Bashir] claims he said it in jest.”
