Netanyahu Directs Israel’s Mossad to Offer ‘Every Possible Assistance’ to French Authorities

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed Israel’s foreign minister and the head of the Mossad to render “every possible assistance” to French authorities in light of the Charlie Hebdo killings and two hostage-taking situations in Paris, Netanyahu’s spokesman Ofir Gendelman tweeted on Friday.
The Israeli Prime Minister also met with French Ambassador to Israel Patrick Maisonnave on Friday and reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to work together with France in defeating “the enemies of the democratic values we all cherish.”
“We have experienced such attacks, we know the feeling, and we share your grief, but also your resolve, which has been demonstrated in the last few days by so many of France’s citizens who gathered to say, we have to fight these enemies of our common civilization,” Netanyahu said. “Bringing to justice the Paris murderers is just the beginning. It must be followed by a broad based assault on the forces of radical Islam throughout the world. This is everyone’s battle.”
Wednesday’s terror shooting on the Charlie Hebdo headquarters in Paris resulted in the deaths of 12 people, including Jewish cartoonist Georges Wollinski. The two Islamic terrorists wanted for the attack were killed in a raid on Friday by security forces at a print shop where they were holed up with a hostage, Reuters reported.
