Anthony Julius
Author and lawyer
One of British Jewry’s leading intellectuals, Anthony Julius continues to flourish as an author and lawyer. His career highlights famously include the successful defense of Professor Deborah Lipstadt, who was sued for libel, along with publisher Penguin Books, by Holocaust denier David Irving. Julius is also a prolific author; his 2010 magnum opus, Trials of the Diaspora: A History of Anti-Semitism in England, continues to be widely cited, particularly against the background of a resurgence in British antisemitism.
