Brian Mast
Army veteran
A true American hero, Army Staff Sergeant Brian Mast lost both of his legs while serving his country in Afghanistan. And like many disabled veterans, Mast is determined to prove that life goes on even when you have been robbed of the ability to walk. Mast recently arrived in Israel to participate in an IDF volunteer program. He was motivated to do so after he witnessed with disgust the anti-Israel demonstrations at Harvard University, where he is studying, during the Gaza war of last summer. “I know what it is to be shot at, to be blown up – literally, to have my brothers die in my arms,” he declared. “I also know the peace my family enjoys each day within our own borders; and that same peace is what I wish for Israel.”
