Harry Styles, a member of the global pop phenomenon One Direction, has a curious reverence for Judaism, Jewish culture and traditions. As a result, he has enhanced Jewish pride among tweens around the world. Although the heartthrob is not Jewish, he sports a Star of David around his neck, has worn a kippah in public, and lamented the closure of popular kosher eatery in London. He even tweets on occasion about Jewish holidays, and fasts on Yom Kippur. Prior to starting the fast, he tweeted, “Eating as much as I can now. Gonna be a tough 25 hours. My problem is I am always hungry straight after Kol Nidre. Fast well, everyone!”
