Activist Yehuda Glick — the most public face of the campaign to allow Jews to pray alongside Muslims on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount — posted Thursday on Facebook that he received and is considering an invitation to join the “Big Brother” household for a month and a half, Israel’s NRG reports.
Glick was shot almost four and a half months ago by a would-be assassin after leaving a lecture at the Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem. The attacker, Mu’taz Al-Hijazi, was a resident of Jerusalem’s Abu Tor neighborhood. He was shot and killed by security forces the day after the attack.
“Hello, we’re calling with the ‘Big Brother’ Television Show,” Glick said, quoting the call he received. “We are putting together a special VIP program. Usually, Big Brother participants reside for three months in the program’s house, however for the VIP show, we would like you to reside there for only a month and a half. We have an opportunity to get across a great message for the entire season. Of course, we’re paying a considerable sum of money for this. Would you like to participate?”
Glick is seriously considering the offer. “Give me time to think about this. I have to talk to my wife about this,” he told Big Brother’s producers.
