Former Alaska Governor and US vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is selling$35 T-shirts that read “I Stand With Bibi” in support of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming address to Congress, The Week reported on Thursday.
“Obama and the Democrats refuse to stand with Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu,” her political action committee, SarahPAC, said in a marketing email to supporters. “Will you?”
Democratic Rep. Jan Schakowsky and Virginia’s Sen. Tim Kaine both said on Wednesday that they plan to skip Netanyahu’s speech on March 3. However, New Jersey’s Senator Cory Booker said in a statement on Thursday that he will make sure to be at the event.
“When America’s and Israel’s security is on the line, and we’re dealing with a situation as dire and complex as Iranian nuclear negotiations, I will listen to all sides, and will not miss an opportunity to hear from the prime minister of one of America’s closest and most important allies,” he said.
