JNS.org – Following Saturday’s birth of the second child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, whose name and title have since been announced as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and his wife Nechama sent a gift to the Duke (also known as Prince William) and his wife Katherine.
The newly born princess, who is fourth in line to the British throne, will receive an Israeli-made dress labeled with the wording “From Israel with love” in the front, together with a gold broach with a heart-shaped charm and the Hamsa symbol.
Rivlin and his wife also sent a letter to Queen Elizabeth II stating, “On behalf of ourselves and of the citizens of the State of Israel, please allow us to offer our congratulations and good wishes on the birth of Your Majesty’s great-granddaughter, the new baby princess, to you and all the members of the royal family.”
“We would also like, through your good offices, to convey a warm message of congratulations and good wishes to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their daughter, sister to Prince George and to wish them much joy health, and happiness,” the letter said, The Jerusalem Post reported.
