Backstreet Boys Singer Howie D Gushes Over Masada During Israel Trip

Backstreet Boys singer Howie Dorough took to Instagram on Tuesday to marvel about climbing the famed Masada fortress with his band during their visit to Israel, where they will perform this week for the first time.
The group’s second day of sightseeing in the Jewish state included the Masada hike, and taking a mud bath at the Dead Sea. A picture from the band’s official Twitter page shows the five singers covered in mud.
While relaxing in the Dead Sea, Dorough said, “I even enjoyed reading a local tabloid newspaper with a glass of wine of course.” On Monday, the Backstreet Boys rode Segways through the northern port town of Jaffa and stopped by St. Peter’s Cathedral.
The band arrived in Israel on Sunday and is scheduled to give three performances at the Ra’anana Amphitheatre on May 19-21. Before arriving in Israel, Dorough said he was, “excited to get there as this is our first time to come and perform for our fans that have been patiently waiting over 20 years for us.”
The Backstreet Boys were previously set to perform in Israel last July but canceled their three sold-out concerts due to the raging Israel-Hamas conflict at the time.
