Jon Stewart Tells Jon Hamm He May Become ‘Minyan Man’ After Retiring (VIDEO)

Daily Show host Jon Stewart joked on Tuesday about possibly taking on the role of “Minyan Man” when he retires later this year.
The Jewish talk show host had actor Jon Hamm on his program to promote his upcoming film Minions and they immediately began to banter about the religious prayer quorum of 10 men, known as a minyan.
Stewart suggested that this may be the topic of Hamm’s movie.
“Here’s what I hope this movie’s about, okay? Nine Jewish men looking for a tenth so that they may celebrate Shabbos!” he said.
Hamm, who is not Jewish, then pointed out that the correct English transliteration of the Hebrew term is actually “minyan.” Stewart then said that he would have plenty of time to devote to being a designated “minyan maker” after he leaves the Daily Show.
“I’m gonna have nothing but free time. I will be the designated minyan maker,” he said. “I’ll be the guy going around to groups of nine Jewish people going, ‘You need a tenth?’ ‘You want a tefillin?’ ‘What do you wanna do?'”
“I’m the Minyan Man!” he continued. “I would just go around. I would like that very much.”
