A two-year old Israeli girl was lightly injured when Palestinian Arabs threw stones at the vehicle she was traveling in with her father, Israel’s NRG news reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the toddler’s injuries were caused by glass shards from the car’s windshield. She was evacuated from the area by her father.
Another vehicle was also targeted by the assailants, who caused damage to the car and lightly wounded the driver who did not need medical treatment.
Both attacks occurred on Route 45 near the turnoff to Route 443, exiting Jerusalem toward Tel Aviv. The area has been the site of multiple similar attacks in the past.
Israeli police arrived at the scene as IDF troops launched a search for the perpetrators.
