An Israeli was stabbed in the back Thursday afternoon by a knife-wielding Palestinian terrorist at the Western exit from Kiryat Arba, leading to Hebron, Israeli news sources reported.
The victim, approximately 25 years old, was seriously wounded and evacuated to a hospital in Jerusalem. The terrorist fled the scene, and a manhunt is underway to apprehend him.
The Kiryat Arba attack occurred at 3:50 p.m., less than one hour after a Palestinian terrorist went on a rampage in Tel Aviv, stabbing three people in the neck with a screwdriver. Israel Air Force soldiers driving in the area – apparently on their way to the nearby Kirya Defense Ministry and IDF General Staff base – immediately exited their car and shot the terrorist, killing him on the spot. One of the victims of the attack was a female soldier, whose wounds were categorized as “light.”
The Tel Aviv attack took place two and a half hours after a near-fatal stabbing in Jerusalem, across from Police Headquarters near the French Hill neighborhood. The victim, a 25-year-old yeshiva student, is in critical condition. The terrorist was killed by police.
