One Israeli was killed and seven others were wounded, two critically and the rest moderately, at the Central Bus Station in Beer Sheva Sunday evening, Israel’s Channel 2 reported moments after the terrorist attack.
Initial reports revealed that two terrorists entered the station, armed with knives, a hand gun, and a rifle and began to stab and shoot commuters. One of the terrorists was killed; the other was wounded.
Among the wounded is a policeman, according to the report.
Eli Bin, the CEO of Magen David Adom, told Channel 2 that the wounded are being treated for complex injuries.
The bus station was closed off, and investigations are under way to ensure that no other terrorists are on the loose. The wounded were being treated on the scene, before being evacuated to the hospital.
This is the latest attack in the wave of Arab terrorism against Israelis that has characterized the past several weeks.
