The leader of an Al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria placed a two-million-euro bounty on the head of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in the latest edition of Al-Risalah, a new English-language publication put out by self-described “jihadi fighters in Syria.”
Abu Mohammad Al-Julani, head of the terrorist organization Jabhat Al-Nusra (which owns the magazine), signed the “wanted dead” poster featuring Nasrallah.
“I offer a reward of €2 million to whoever kills Hassan Nasrullah (sic), even if they be from his people or family,” Al-Julani wrote.
He also promised to guarantee the safety of Nasrallah’s assassin, saying, “[Jabhat Al-Nusra] will provide security for him and his family and deliver him to wherever he wishes, and I am guarantor of that, Allah willing.”
A similar offer and guarantee was made for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, albeit with a higher reward — €3 million.
