Israeli Soldier Wounded in Stabbing Attack; 2 Terrorists Killed

A 19-year-old Israeli soldier was moderately wounded in a stabbing attack at the Gush Etzion junction on Tuesday evening.
The attack took place near a number of bus stops. Soldiers guarding the busy junction noticed two Palestinians behaving suspiciously. When approached and questioned, one of them took out a knife and began stabbing one of the soldiers. The latter’s comrades took swift action, shooting and killing the two terrorists.
After being treated by paramedics at the scene, the soldier was evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he underwent surgery and is being treated for stab wounds to his face.
This was the second stabbing attack against an Israeli soldier at that location, along Route 60, in the last 24 hours. On Monday, a soldier was seriously wounded in a different stabbing attack in the same area.
