ISIS’ local branch in the Sinai Peninsula released a new video threatening attacks against Israel, Israeli news site Walla reported on Wednesday.
The group, known as Wilayat Sina, said it would begin these attacks soon, specifying Israel’s southernmost city, Eilat, referred to in the video by its Arabic name, “Umm Al-Rashrash.”
The masked and armed speaker in the clip then said the time was drawing near when the Jews would pay for their crimes against the Muslims. “You will be sorry for what you’ve done,” he said. “We are on the outskirts of the Temple Mount in Palestine, close to the Jews who have stolen the land. We’ve already spilled the blood of the Jews in surprise attacks more than once.”
The speaker then accused Egypt — which has been cracking down on terrorists in the Sinai — of collaboration with Israel and the United States. “The vile Egyptian army aids the Jews who are desecrating the holy sites of the Muslims. This is the truth,” he said.
