An Israeli policeman was moderately wounded in a stabbing attack near the entrance to the Damascus Gate in east Jerusalem on Thursday late afternoon, Israeli media outlets reported.
The terrorist was shot and killed.
The victim, approximately 35 years old, was evacuated by Magen David Adom paramedics to Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
This was the second terrorist attack since the morning. Earlier in the day, two Israelis were wounded in a drive-by shooting near the Hizme checkpoint on the northern edge of Jerusalem. The terrorist, who was killed by IDF soldiers, was later identified as an intelligence officer in the Palestinian security services.
