Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will visit Israel for the first time since becoming head of the company, Israeli media reported Wednesday.
Nadella will be the key speaker at the Microsoft Think Next conference, to be held hosted at the company’s Israeli R&D center on Feb. 25, 2016, according to the Israeli economic daily Globes.
Microsoft has made five Israeli acquisitions thus far in 2015, the most recent of which is cyber-security company Secure Islands, reportedly for a sum ranging between $100 and $150 million. The company also bought cloud security firm Adallon, and another cyber- security company, Aorato.
Nadella made frequent trips to Israel as executive vice-president of Microsoft’s Cloud, but this will be his first visit to the country since becoming CEO in February 2014.
