New York ‘Nanny Spy’ Attributes Acumen to Experience as IDF Commander
by Shiryn Ghermezian
A New York City woman who spies on nannies for a hefty price attributes her perceptiveness to her past service as a commander in the Israeli army, the New York Post reported on Thursday.
“I have a developed intuition,” said Limor Weinstein, 40.
The Upper East Side of Manhattan mother-of-three charges $350 an hour to parents wanting to find out what their nannies are really up to. The job sometimes entails stalking a particular child-care giver for weeks.
Weinstein, who the Post says has up to 10 clients in any given week, last month caught a nanny bringing a child with her into a liquor store. Responding to the information, the child’s mother rushed to her Madison Avenue home, searched the nanny’s belongings and found a half-empty bottle of vodka.
Weinstein also caught a care-giver selling her employer’s Adderall pills for $300 a pop.
“Not everyone needs to be suspicious of their nanny,” said Weinstein. “But be aware — and if you have an instinct, follow it.”
