Costco Sales Promoter Treats Jewish Customers to Antisemitic Tirade (VIDEO)
by Shiryn Ghermezian
A video uploaded to the Internet on Tuesday shows a woman working at Costco engaging in an antisemitic tirade during a conversation with Jewish customers.
The footage was originally posted on the video-sharing website LiveLeak.com by one of the customers, who said he was at the store talking to another Jewish man, when a woman demonstrating a Vitamix Blender on sale at Costco “interrupted to tell us that Jews need to go back where they came from.”
The offended shopper who posted the video wrote, “I asked her how that would be possible after what happened in WWII. She responded that Hitler never did anything wrong to the Jews and that they brought it on themselves.”
The video shows the women giving the blender demonstration also telling the customer, “Jews do not belong in Israel. It’s a Palestinian Country. They should go back to where they started.”
When asked, “Where did they start?,” the woman replied, “Europe,” later saying, “They [the Jews] were not as persecuted as you say they were.”
The video may have been filmed at a Costco store in the San Francisco Bay area, according to Yeshiva World News, which posted the video on YouTube after it was deleted from LiveLeak.com by the person who originally uploaded it.
Scott Tennant, director of communications for Vitamix, told The Algemeiner that the sales representative in the video is “no longer associated” with the company. He added that the opinions expressed in the video do not reflect Vitamix’s own values. Costco Wholesale told The Algemeiner that it “condemns the conduct” displayed by the woman.
