Following Saturday’s announcement that the nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers had gone into effect and that sanctions would be lifted, an Iranian citizen told the Israeli news site Walla that the people of Iran would not benefit.
With a hidden face and the aid of a simultaneous Farsi-Hebrew translator, “P” said in a phone call with Walla that the Iranian people “know they won’t see a dime of that money.”
He also said that President Hassan Rouhani’s celebration of the day and promises of economic relief were deceptive. “He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” the anonymous Iranian said, calling Implementation Day of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action “another black day for the Iranian people.”
