The Islamist regime in Turkey poses a series of challenges for Israel, IDF Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Yair Golan said Thursday.
Speaking at a security conference hosted by the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar Ilan University, Golan said, “I believe that as long as Turkey is governed by an Islamist-oriented party, and headed by an adversarial president like [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan, we could face several problems, as well as challenges, in that regard.”
