Adam Sandler
Actor
Famed Jewish actor and comedian Adam Sandler recently railed against Pink Floyd co-founder and anti-Israel activist Roger Waters during an appearance on the The Howard Stern Show.
“I’m very pro-Israel,” Sandler told Stern, who has himself blasted Waters on a number of occasions on his Sirius satellite radio show. Sandler added, “I’m proud of being a Jew and that’s what I am.”
The year 2015 also saw the release of a new version of Sandler’s “The Hanukkah Song.” He updated the lyrics to include such lines as: “Princess Leia cuts the challah with Queen Elsa from Frozen; David Beckham is the king of soccer studs and also a quarter-chosen.” Sandler’s pride in his Jewish identity has long served as a source of inspiration for young American Jews as they discover their heritage.
