Mother of 13-Year-Old Israeli Butchered by Palestinian Terrorist: ‘She Wasn’t Murdered; She Was Slaughtered’ (VIDEO)

In her first interview with US media, the mother of the 13-year-old Israeli girl butchered in her bedroom on Thursday morning by a Palestinian terrorist told Miami TV station WSVN7 News that her daughter “wasn’t murdered; she was slaughtered,”
Rina Ariel, mother of Hallel Ariel, described her daughter as “a girl full of light, a girl of love.”
On July 30, knife-wielding 19-year-old Muhammed Taraiyre infiltrated the Ariel family home in Kiryat Arba, in the outskirts of Hebron in the West Bank. Taraiyre — who came from the nearby Palestinian village of Bani Naim — “came to her room while she was sleeping, stabbed her in her heart, turned her over, stabbed her eight times,” Rena said.
Taraiyre infiltrate the Jewish settlement by climbing over its security fence. A local civilian Rapid Response Team chased after him, but was unable to reach the house in time to prevent Hallel’s murder. The team found her lying in a pool of her own blood. Attempting to escape, Taraiyre attacked the response team and critically wounded one of them. The killer was eventually shot dead by a member of the team.
A few days before committing the attack, Taraiyre posted on Facebook, “Death is a privilege, and I demand my [right to that] privilege.” Following the attack, Palestinian Authority channels praised the terrorist as a “martyr,” with his own mother calling him a hero.
“She met the darkness,” Rena said of her daughter’s tragic death.
Rena, who told 7 News that her family hails from Miami, said that Hallel’s murder makes them even more committed to living in Israel’s biblical heartland, despite the dangers.
“This is the place where the tombs of Abraham, Issac and Jacob were buried. This is the place where Jewish history started many, many years ago and this is the place we want to continue living,” she said. “We will cry at night and we will live in the morning.”
