A Jewish baseball fan wearing a kippah caught a foul ball with his bare hands during the first inning of the Yankees vs. Mets game on Tuesday night in New York.
The ball was hit by Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius during the game at Citi Field in Queens. A video posted on Facebook shows the impromptu catcher getting cheered by the crowd when he made the impressive glove-less catch and held up the ball for all to see.
One sports announcer jokingly said, “I think that guy might want to go up one size in that shirt!”
The Mets won Tuesday night’s game 7-1.
