JNS.org – Four Israeli businesswomen were honored Thursday at the 10th annual Israel Day at the New York Stock Exchange.
The America-Israel Friendship League recognized Tzameret Fuerst, entrepreneur and co-founder of Circ MedTech, the developer of PrePex, a medical device that prevents the spread of HIV; Karen Haruvi, Teva Pharmaceuticals’ senior vice president of global generic business development and alliance management; Noa Raviv, fashion designer and artist; and Liat Mordechay Hertanu, co-founder of the 24me personal assistant app.
Inbal Orpaz, a high-tech correspondent for the Israeli business publication The Marker, moderated a discussion and spoke to the women about how they have contributed to the US-Israel relationship.
“Today is such an important day, as we showcase Israeli innovation and what the country exports to the NYSE and to the world,” said Kenneth Bialkin, AIFL chairman, in a statement. “It’s the 10th time that the NYSE has opened up its doors for us and we couldn’t be more appreciative of it.”
Daneilla Rilov, executive director of AIFL, said Israel Day was a recognition of “outstanding companies” and a celebration of the Jewish state’s “gender diversity.”
“The day is an example of just a few of the common traits the US and Israel share,” Rilov said.
