Jewish Rapper Drake Called ‘Filthy Zionist’ After Hacker Takes Over Hip-Hop Artist Schoolboy Q’s Twitter Account
by Shiryn Ghermezian
Canadian-Jewish rapper Drake was called a “filthy Zionist” and other slurs by a hacker who took over the official Twitter account of another singer this week, SPIN magazine reported.
Calling himself “rorylol,” the hacker hurled epithets at the 30-year-old Grammy award-winner from the account of American hip-hop artist Schoolboy Q.
In separate messages, the hacker wrote “#FreePalestine” and claimed that “Israel are the ones trying to shut down Kanye,” in reference to rapper Kanye West, reality star Kim Kardashian’s husband.
His posts were deleted about 40 minutes after they were uploaded, but not before various media outlets captured screenshots of the comments.
Drake, whose mother is Jewish and father is African-American, has not responded to the incident, while Schoolboy Q, in a video posted on Instagram on Tuesday, informed fans that his Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat accounts were all hacked. “Anything you see, that ain’t me,” he said.
As of Wednesday, Schoolboy Q’s social media accounts were back under the singer’s control.
