JNS.org — Canadian pop star Justin Bieber will perform in Israel as part of his upcoming 2017 international tour.
The singer announced Thursday that he is scheduled to play at Tel Aviv’s Yarkon Park on his Purpose World Tour, in what will be his second concert in Israel.
Bieber first came to the Jewish state in 2011 as a 17-year-old, when he clashed with paparazzi while visiting holy sites.
Bieber’s 2009 debut album, “My World,” sold millions of copies worldwide and made him one of the youngest success stories in contemporary pop music.
Other top artists scheduled to perform in Israel in 2017 include Aerosmith and Guns N’ Roses. Talks are being held with Coldplay for a performance at Israel’s ancient Masada fortress next October.
Bieber’s Tel Aviv concert is set for May 3, 2017. Tickets will be on sale for the general public on Saturday, starting at 350 shekels ($92). Members of Bieber’s official Israeli fan club enjoyed early access to seats on Thursday.
The Purpose World Tour is being brought to Israel by producers Marcel Abraham and Mario Arlovski.
