Jewish Olympic Gold Medalist Aly Raisman Reveals She’s Been Quietly Dating NFL Player Who Asked Her Out Online

Jewish-American Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman revealed this week that she has been dating a pro-football player whom she met online, People magazine reported.
On the red carpet at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Ceremony on Monday, the 22-year-old gold medalist admitted that she and NFL free agent Colton Underwood, 24, have been keeping their relationship “quiet for a while.”
Another attendee at the event, held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, told People that the couple looked “really happy together. He had his arm around her throughout the dinner and they laughed a lot.”
According to the report, the pair have been together since August, after Underwood — who is not a member of the tribe — asked Raisman out via a Yahoo! Sports video message. Sharing details about their first night out together, the gymnast said, “We happened to both be in Denver at the same time. I was there for less than 12 hours; he was flying in for just a few days. It just ended up working perfectly.”
Raisman told People that Underwood drove 90 minutes back and forth to meet her for their second and third dates. She has already met with his family and will be spending the holidays with them.
After Monday night’s event, Underwood posted a photo on Twitter of himself with Raisman, with the caption, “Someone that brings out the best in me. My girl looked absolutely stunning last night.”
As The Algemeiner reported in August, Raisman’s mother, Lynn, caused a social-media storm when photos and video footage of her hysterical reactions to her daughter competing at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio began circulating.
Her reaction to the Aly’s interfaith love adventure has not yet been publicly documented.
