Britain’s ITV news website used a photo of the wrong David Friedman in its story published on Friday about President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of the next US ambassador to Israel.
The David Friedman in the picture is the 71-year-old economist known for authoring the book The Machinery of Freedom, not the 57-year-old litigation and bankruptcy attorney who has been tapped by Trump to replace Dan Shapiro as America’s top diplomat in the Jewish state.
The pictured Friedman is the son of the late famous economists Rose and Milton Friedman.
As of early Friday afternoon US Eastern time, the picture had not been corrected.
