Israeli “Wonder Woman” Gal Gadot made her fans back home proud when she was selected to present this year’s Golden Globe award for Best Foreign Language Film.
According to the Hebrew news site Ynet, though Israelis already know that Gadot has made it as an international star — for her now-famous role in the blockbuster — she was acknowledged as such by being given the honor of taking the stage at the prestigious Hollywood ceremony.
Gadot presented the award with Australian heartthrob Chris Hemsworth — something that paired the DC Comics heroine with rival company Marvel’s superhero Thor.
The 31-year-old movie star, who is about five months pregnant with her second child, showed off her baby bump on the red carpet, in a sequined gown with a plunging neckline and high slit up the side of her leg.
Gadot was accompanied to the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles — the venue of the 74th annual Golden Globes — by her Israeli real estate developer husband Yaron Versano, with whom she has a five-year-old daughter named Alma.
Before presenting the Best Foreign Language Film to France’s “Elle,” starring Isabelle Huppert, Gadot made a quip about her being from Israel and Hemsworth hailing from Australia, saying they both understand how movies break through boundaries.
